ANATOMIC DENIM RETAIL EVENT

The Anatomic Denim campaign by G-Star RAW explores what happens when structure becomes life, when craftsmanship takes on a pulse of its own. For its launch at CIFF Copenhagen and Amsterdam Fashion Week, a monumental 3.5-metre gorilla stood at the centre, sculpted entirely from denim by Darwin, Sinke & Van Tongeren.

At Visual Valley, we were invited to uncover the unseen: to breathe life into denim and make audiences feel the raw power behind form and fibre. Our film doesn’t just show the sculpture, it dives inside it. Through light, motion, and sound, we reveal an anatomy built from thread and tension, leading to the awakening of a beating heart beneath the surface.

The result is not just a campaign film, but an immersive journey into material consciousness, a space where craftsmanship and emotion fuse, and denim becomes something living, something almost human.

For us, this story is about the poetry of construction, the invisible forces that shape what we see, and the beauty that lies in how things are made.
